Residency..yup me again, but a new kind of question

After getting into residency...do you still take test? I was reading on other foums and some people get "fired" (what I mean is, they are asked to resign) because they failed a test during residency. Are there really test during residency? Thanks

Tests during residency are dependent on which program. Many int med programs in the NY city area test once a week or once a month. The tests are practice tests for the specialty boards. Some require a passing score to advance to the next year. You have to find out from the program itself.
