I was thinking we should maybe get a FAQ forum for Saba, completely controlled by moderators to go over the major questions that always seem to come up. It will be like the stickied threads, but a little more organized and bigger. That way before asking questions that seem to come up a lot, people can just go through there.
What do you guys think?

hmmm how about we get a list of questions together that are most asked then somebody ask them all at the next Saba chat and post them up, possible with the two transcripts i have already posted. that should cover pretty much every question lol

Have you two ever considered instant messaging each other?

that would be soo selfish of us not to share...
is it a bad thing to contribute regularly to a forum? blame Rogers Wireless for traping me in front of computer in the worlds most boring training session on earth for 5 soul sucking weeks!

I was thinking the same thing KingMo! Soooo funny!
I can say I appreciate the input from both of you the majority of the time, but it's when you two have chats in threads about nonsignificant stuff that annoys ppl. This thread isn't as bad as others.

don't worry, I am finnished work in a few mins and will be on my way home. No more posting until tomorrows shoft ;)

there's a couple times that you're right, it would have been more practical to instant message, but this is relevant for everyone.
covar, that sounds like a good idea, but I think we could make it more organized.... It'd be a bit of work though.
It's also hard not to reply because to be honest, we're both browsing this forum A LOT recently because we're really trying to get as much information and prep as possible. Sorry if we're getting on anyones nerves, i'll try to cool it a bit on the posting unless necessary.

I'm not gonna lie. When a few hours passed this morning and I didn't see a post by Mike77 or Covaburious, I got kinda worried about you two.

mike is alright. but if you analyze time stamps, covarubious is responding within 10 minutes, TEN MINUTES! I SAY! Which means he is literally sitting at his desk, updating, giving advice like a madman.
Anyone this dedicated to valuemd should be given admin powers or at least some sort of thing next to their name like the infraction i got for quoting Happy Gilmore

do you really have nothing better to do with your time then to watch my every post(and time them???)? dude, sad(saad?)... as i posted befor, yes, i am sitting at a computer bored out of my mind at some training session and this is one of the only sites not blocked. it does break my heart though that you don't think I'm "ok"...

Oh boy, you sure got him there. Obviously darkmansaad didn't get the memo that valuemd is no longer a general chat room, but Mike77 and covarubious all day every day. The thrill of logging in and seeing that every single thread was posted on by either of you two is just priceless. Thanks guys.

Sorry if my posting is annoying, but if you read what I say, almost everything (heh, almost) is relevant to the topic. I think I can speak for both of us in that we are both very excited at the idea of attending Saba, and would like to learn as much as possible. I won't lie, I have spent obscene amounts of time surfing old threads this site-- especially recently-- so when a new thread opens up, I am often one of the first people to see it and then respond. Usually I try to give advice if I know anything of it, or just throw in my two cents. I can understand how it must be annoying, and I have tried to keep it to a minimum , but try and understand why I (and most likely 'we') are posting so much. Ideally, I would love to see people post more as well, as I am trying to gather as much information as possible.
In addition, as a purely personal excuse, I just moved out of the country and am in a completely foreign environment with nothing else to do. ValueMD has filled a gap in my life that should have probably been taken up by a girlfriend. :)
Again, I apoligize if I am getting annoying, I'll do my best to control it. Don't forget, I only have just over 200 posts, which is pretty small compared to a lot of people --especially since I think I've read every thread posted in the last year! :)

Ditto, for the most part. ;) Still here in the Tdot and not hunting for a g/f but if you notice my posts only incraesed insanely after I got stuck here at this d*** desk job. theres only so many times you can read perez hilton and play solitar befor you wanna shoot yourself. lol plus, I/we have read through pretty much all these threads recently and do have a lot of info and questions as well. (I also know a lot of people on the island, thank you facebook, so I can usually get some info from them too to share) Plus, the odd Saba chat ;) It's an internet forum, would you rather nobody post at all? If a person posts a question and I know the answer should i wait for a current student to come by and post it? would be a little rude, we're all here to support each other are we not?

Why not read Netter's Anatomy or Histology? Get ahead of the game. BNC and BRG tactics will not help you on Saba.

can you list a few of those people? the only person to bring it up was me and it was pointed out by another poster that the system would have caught it. besides, its not humanly possible for one person to post that much. i only have 2 hands ;)
Now, can we bump the maturity level up just a touch and get this thread back on topic? If you feel the need to flame others or try to drag threads off topic, set up a nice where you can flame to your hearts content.
So, FAQ forum for Saba, thoughts? Suggestions?

So then the answer to my question is no, neither of you are capable? Sad considering both are you are/were Saba students with a wealth of knowledge you could share, you choose instead to insult and flame others. In all fairness gumby does contribute more...
But gumby I will keep this information in mind the next time somebody other than wolf whines about people posting to much

witty! I notice though that you don't bother to address the main point and I never implied wolf whined, my intent was pretty clear.

You know, I actually do have a suggestion for your FAQ page. Why don't you make a list of definitions in the form of FAQ's? In fact, I'll give you a couple of starters.
FAQ #1. What is a herb?
FAQ #2. What exactly constitutes flaming?
FAQ #3. Why is it important to be humbled early in medical school?
While you are at it, you can go back through all of your extensive postings and look at all the questions that you posted. That should give you an idea of what people are looking for. While you are doing that, take a look at how many times you have been rude and disrespectful to people. If you only knew exactly who these people are (upperclassmen, TA's, professors, admin, etc.) that you were rude and condescending to, you might reconsider your holier-than-thou attitude. You might even tap into that wealth of knowledge you say you are looking for.
Burning bridges behind you isn't a good idea. Burning bridges ahead of you is just silly.
Good luck with first semester.

This thread is closed as is has drifted :offtopic:
To close the thread back on the original topic: I'd be happy to see a FAQ that you put together that answers key questions that are hard or time consuming to find otherwise, even with the search function. Post your submission and the community will evaluate it here and if it is considered useful by the majority we'll sticky it.
