I'll be done with my pre-reqs by August. I'm taking Orgo 1 and 2 and Bio 2 this summer so I don't have time to take the MCATS. However, I have a 3.4 cGPA and a 3.8 sGPA with some doc office experience and a few years of work experience in consulting. Do I still have a shot for the Sept 08 class?

Probably, see the admissions chat thread. I believe they're currently waitlisting.

Nope. I applied 6 months ago and was put on the september waitlist (although I was told they were going to process additional applications after me for september  ). I was told that they are accepting spots on the september w/l, but i'd say give up and go for January. Two and a half months is really pushing it, lol. I wouldn't want to go to a school that you could do the whole process that fast :) .

Also, without even taking bio and orgo, they'll probably put you on a provisional acceptance (e.g get a b- average in organic, etc. ).

From what it sounds like, you'd be lucky to make the 2012 match even if you started in september, due to the clinical delays. Just go in january or may, and be optomistic- more time to study for your USMLEs.

Regarding clinicals:
I started at Saba in May 2005. I am graduating May 2009. That's 4 years.
I took 3.5 months off to study for step 1, and 1 month off to study for step 2, and 3 weeks off to take a break for family reasons. And I will admit I was not as diligent as I should have been in scheduling elective rotations early, as I mentioned in another recent post. Had I been flexible about travel (I have not until now been so) I could easily have done all my rotations, (all greenbook by specialty) back to back.
So don't worry. If you are diligent and stay in touch with the clinicals office you will be fine.
