student visa/return ticket ?

Now that the 1st semesters have their student visas...and since it is written in Dutch...I was wondering: if we fly home and return, do we need a ticket for leaving the island for that little requirement SXM has...or do we just need to show the student visa when we come back and all is ok? Thanks

i've never been asked for a return ticket after i showed my residency permit don't know if it is required though. what some people have done is book a 24 hour hold and print it just never purchased it and show it as confirmantion....

On at least two and maybe three occasions I have been asked for my return ticket, even with my permit.

A simple cheap Liat ticket to PR will do, and I have heard that a WinAir ticket to Saba or St Barth's will as well, but I can't say that difinitively.
