Hello All:
I apologize for the delay in discussing my admissions process - but I got busy with a new project at work.
I was recently accepted to the January 2005 class.
My whole process from application, interview, and acceptance letter took exactly two weeks.
Interview Questions:
1) You have a very strong computers and business background, why the change to medicine?
2) What are your strengths... weaknesses?
3) Describe any discrepancies in your transcript.
4) Describe your exposure to the field of medicine?
5) What do you know about the island of Saba?
6) What do you know about the medical program at SABA SOM?
7) Is your wife supportive - will she enjoy the island, what do you think she will do when you are attending school, etc...
These were all of the questions that I was asked. Like some other people on this forum, I was interviewed by Dr. Burnes and a lady in charge of Alumni affairs.
It was a very relaxed environment and we laughed numerous times. My one piece of advice to everyone would be to be yourself. If becoming a doctor is your dream - than show to them that you would be an asset to this noble profession.
Cheers!!
