Confusion regarding canadian student loans

I am wondering how the Canadian student loan system works for people from Saba as I am currently very confused. Do you have to be in Ontario to get any student loans? Has anyone applied for them from BC? I am told the maximum received was about 9000 per year, or am I wrong?

well, not sure how it works in BC but i assume its the same. one (roughly) half is a provincial loan, the other federal. if you go to school out of province/country you still qualify for the federal portion. and no, its not a massive amount but it'll certainly help...
