Does anyone know how to find where the Res Halls are located on Google maps? I found SMU's campus, but I cant locate the Res Halls/Suites.

P.S. I'm bored and at work...humor me

start at the docks in george town. follow the road up that is closest to the water. it will merge with another road coming in from the right. keep following the road up until you see a "U" shaped building with unequal length "arms" on the left. It's not the bright white "U" shaped building, that's the seven mile shops. It's the grayish "U" shaped building before that. You should be able to zoom in and see a figure-eight shaped pool in the center. good luck

Thanks I found it! It seems far from the school though. What are white-roof buildings in front of the of the hall closer to the beach?

It's 2 miles, or a 40 minute walk if you're "that type of person". You can ride a bike as well if you're "that type of person". In a car it's like a 5 to 7 min drive.

Buses are highly available for $2 CI. That's what I do.

"that type of person" sounds so negative. LOL.

If you are that type of person, it probably won't last very long. I went two weeks before having my car shipped down. BTW, I don't recommend shipping a car down.

I thought SMU had a shuttle service for its students?

It's not free. It's 2 CI each way. It's really a regular bus driver that picks up smu students to make money. I take the bus. It's not a big deal. They run like every 5 min or so for the most part.

Hitchiking is also an acceptable form of travel.

Just don't end up on CNN with your body floating in the carib sea- all in the name of saving 2 bucks. Look at the driver, size him up, and make sure you could take him if something went down.
