Well I was planning on arriving 2-3 weeks early so that I could explore the island, and do some diving. I don't want to arrive right before school starts and have this burning itch to explore the island, when I am overwhelmed with school work.
Does anyone how cheap the absolute cheapest place would be? If that doesn't exist, would staying on St. Maarten be a lot cheaper?
I know a few are going to say something along the lines of 'the last thing you'll want to do is be on the island longer', but i'd rather go early and leave on a break, then the alternative.
Thanks guys.

I went down to Saba for a week and stayed at Scouts...the school told me to call and ask for Bertina...and that Pat from Saba University told me to call...and they gave me a "special student rate" of $95/nite...which I think is a good deal! I also stayed in St. Martin and it's pretty pricey there, I believe our room there was like $260 or something, but the places there are more touristy/resort like/condo so they jack up the price...:) Good luck!

Hmmm, so I guess 100 dollars a night is as cheap as it gets? :( Thanks for the info, I appreciate it!

hmmm i wonder if any current students would rent out a room for a week for a good price. i'm sure a few of them could use the cash!

I believe you can definately find a place for cheaper than $100 per night. I would call Julianas and ask them. Also check with The Cottage Club and El Momo's. I know that El Momo's is cheaper. Hope this helps.

Oh, did I mention I would require nightly performances with a Sunday matinee and 2 meals prepared every day? ;)
I wonder if somebody posted a request for short term housing on the classifieds section if people will respond? I would do it if I was there. Can't hurt to have a few extra bucks. especially now!

ugh, my singing and dancing does not go by a schedule, it must be at the perfect time (when alcohol is involved?).
