Hey guys. I am going to be a second term student in August and was considering doing the AEP facilitator sessions for Biochemistry. To those who have done this, does it help you much or do you feel you could have used the time for studying instead? How much prep time are we looking at per week?

i prep 1 hr before the tutor session, when it comes around your own midterm and finals time, it can get a bit rough as 2nd term exam schedule doesnt always line up as the 1st termer's

Well this is obviously entirely subjective, but from my point of view I felt that I could have used to the time either to study or relax. For biochem I found myself prepping roughly 2hrs/session to read through the material, hi-lite the important info in outline format, and then go through another time for a handful of questions. If I tutor another term I'm going to find someone to do the session with me so we can share the prep and cover for each other throughout the term if necessary. I stopped tutoring before the end of the term because I felt I needed to focus on my material.
