I was wondering if anybody that uses FAFSA was able to use unsubsidized and subsidized student loans to cover all of tuition and all or most of every other expense. I ask this cause I need to know how much I should be planning to save up before coming down. I talked to my admission advisor two days ago and she said I will recieve an acceptance letter pending completion of transcript for Org. chem 2, my only prerequisite. Anybody with simialr experience? Also please reply to first question if you can. Thanks.

Do a search.

For a short answer--no you need private loans, also to live.

Stafford's alone won't cover it. The tuition alone for two semesters would leave you $500 to live on for 8 months.

You need private loans.

Check the thread on budget's, gives a pretty good idea on cost. Plus if you look at what is cost to come to the school and the amount you receive from those loans you will see how tight it will be. Nothing left for anything else. Unless you have money saved or family help you most likely will be using private loans also.
