hi i am a medical student in russia. i just wanted to know if my marks and performace in medical school will affect my USMLE result. what i mean is that to be frank in russia the marking syatem is full of crap and never fair... its more of favouratism, skin colour and gender.the marks you get is never the right marks you deserve. u might be a very good student but in youyr report cards you might just be ordinary(if any1 get me!!!) so i want to know if i need to submit any of my university results and stuff to apply for USMLE or any other lisenceing examz .hope to get help... its really bothering me.. thanks a load ppl:)

you ll need to score above 230 in your USMLE and you'll be fine.
what matters to secure a residency in the US are your USMLE scores, letters of recommendations from US Doctors , get an internship at US med school for one rotation.. you must do this while a student!!! ...and great interview skills..
if you want to apply to extremely competitive fields as of now: Radiology, ophthalmology, dermatology and ER.. you ll need excellent grades.. but for IM and FM you should be okay provided you deliver the results stated above.
peace.
