I'm going over some practice cases and the discussion section always specifies bolus or continuous. On the actual exam is there a way to do this? Playing around with the software on the Step 3 CD makes it appear as if all you can do is pick how you want something administered but not as a bolus. Can someone please verify?

bolus means one time. Continuos can mean "prn" or daily. You can give bolus medicines like LASIX, MOrPHINE etc only once for SOB, PAIN etc respectively
