Project 2400?

I just finished 5th in carbondale and passed a couple weeks ago and today I got an email from Dr. G stating that I need to clarify my 'status' with the school and that I need to register and pay for Project 2400 ($80/semester!!).

Should I pay up? I was under the impression that this was just for people on the island/basic sciences... but I am done with ** and I'm taking step 1 in july. Do I seriously owe the school $400 ($80x5 semesters)?? Nobody said anything to me about this the whole time I was in carbondale or when I was in touch with the main office during registration/application before carbondale.

i know what you mean...not a lot of people knew about the fact that we pay for MD1 - 5 for Proj2400...they did not ask for the money in Carbondale from many people I guess because of all the students that flogged the office with retakes and other daily problems that they could not keep organized.

When I left, I was told that each student will be audited individually to see who owes fees to the school for various reasons and also for general unpaid bills (internet/electric/etc) in order to make them pay up before anyone goes into clinical rotations.

So I have to pay for all those semesters? Even though I didn't do semesters 1-4 with Windsor? I don't mind paying $80 for 5th, but I don't really have $400 to pay them, especially since I have to pay for step 1 out of my own pocket.

Do you think they would let me pay it after the step but before I start clinicals?

i dont think you would have to.....

since you didnt attend windsor semesters 1-4.....maybe you should g talk to dr. G yourself

Now he is telling me there is a fee for the H&P exam as well. Since when??? Did anyone else in Carbondale have to pay H&P exam fee??

H&P Exam Fee? Thats a new one...i never noticed that on my invoice....i guess if you are a transfer, you should not have to pay...but then again you know how it is with Windsor...

From what I understood, you had to clear all fees before writing Step 1 or that form will not be signed off from the US office.

They didn't even give me an invoice, G just emailed me directly and told me to pay up. I am gonna call the office tomorrow and ask someone about it. If nobody even knows about the "H&P fee", then I shouldn't have to pay that.

There is that new rule from january...an exam fee of 100$ for every semester... Maybe it was that....

wow, windsor's hidden fees is so scaring, please can someone hook up a list of this exact fees, since y'all old studnets are there on the island and know about all these, and so we new students prepare for it.
cos the school authorities dont tell this things before coming. And please is the 100dolls/semester from january true? i just hope i dont go broke on teh island.
