During christmas holidays, when can students book ticket to return to their homes,?
Final exam on Dec 12th, can they leve the same day after exam?

Different semesters end on different days. Check the exam schedule (if you're accepted) - and you can plan according to that. A lot of students do leave on the same day as their exams. You just want to make sure you give yourself time to get to the boat or airport ahead of time.
