I would like to know the opinion of students the finished their degree or currently are in the process...I know it;s kind of hard to make a judgement since if you did one or the other. But the general sense, in terms of organization and administration and thing like education and how well they prepare you..
The 6 year is definetly the more expensive path but i would like to know which one is better overall in terms of preparation and learning experience... since i;ve read a couple of post on here lately that the 4year program is a way to drain some money from the "rich" american kids

The 6th year is for students who don't have the necessary requirements or skill level to be in the 4 year. If you already know the info why would you want to repeat it, seems like it would be a bore.

Seems like the 6 year program would drain even more money ... but sure some 4 years get turned into 5 years. "rich" .. hmmm I think if their looking for "rich they'll turn East not West, as, I believe, some schools have already done. There's a reason the English program is in Poland and it's not because they want it there.

Well, medical education in Europe is generally 5½-6 years, based on the fact that applicants come straight from high school. The 4 yr program is not found anywhere in Europe or other parts of the world, it's only in the US meant for American students who have already done their "pre-med" at some college/uni somewhere. Now, if an American high schooler wants to apply for the 6 yr program then hey go for it. But that's the fundamental difference in a nutshell. But hey I'm sure some American college graduates choose the 6 yr program for various reasons, like lack of knowledge, like whoops already pointed out. It may also be a good choice for
non-traditional students who have already majored in something like economics or what ever. Right?

As ANDREAS points out, someone with a bachelor's degree in the liberal arts might find a 6-year program to be a good way to go. The alternative, of course, is to complete all of the pre-med science classes as a post-bac, THEN take the MCAT, THEN go through the application year and MAYBE get in. Completing the MD in 6 years straight through could look pretty attractive to some American students. (If I had known about it coming out of my undergrad, I probably would have done it myself!)
