Your GPA is very fine for Ross...you should aim for a 20+ on your MCAT and you will most likely be accepted.

just out of curiosity...any reason why you want to go to a Carib school? Have you considered getting a ** and applying to US schools?

Great stat! How did you get 93 credits from a Community College? I hope that does not limit you getting in since they all came from a CC.

It might come up so be prepared to answer that one.

I think my CC limited us to 68 credits or maybe that is how many they allowed you to transfer to a 4 year.

^^I believe most 4 year institutions allow you to transfer in up to 60 credits...so it makes sense to be limited to 68...have some leeway in case some don't transfer.

If you've only taken the pre-requisites, transferring to a 4 year school would not be a waste of time. You can expose yourself to advanced courses that will put you on top of your game in the island (like cell biology, genetics, biochemistry, neurosience etc.). Of course you can do it without any advanced courses, but it makes life much easier. Try talking with a school rep and explain the situation.

It would be wise to complete your degree and take a shot at getting in a US school first. You MUST exhaust this option before you think of applying to a Caribb school. It is also nice to have a Bachelor's degree under your belt. Trust me, you will be better in the long for doing it.

Community College vs. University = completely different

University vs. Ross = completely different

Dont skip the university, you'll get slaughtered by med school classes...

You might have to explain yourself when you interview for Residency spots.

I'm a little confused, did you (original poster) have those credits from a community college as well as university credits, or is it just community college? Because I'm not sure if they will accept applicants who have not attended some type of accredited university...because community college is far less competitive. With a caribb school, I could be wrong, and if I am, you will need like at least a 3.8 or 4.0 gpa or so. Best thing to do, is call admissions and get a valid response from them. Good luck, and if Ross doesn't accept community college, just transfer to a uni and take some science courses and you should be fine. Just keep up that gpa and do well on your mcat.
