Anyone know when is the right time to ask for LORs? And it is mentioned somewhere that we need to provide our personal number (ECFMG, USMLE, NRMP?) on these LORs? How do we obtain such number? Any help is appreciated.

right after the rotation.
you can ask the doc to hold the letter or mail it to the school, which will keep it on file.

Your number will be available early July once you apply for your ERAS token which is in July. Ask for the letter after the rotation, but you will only be able to obtain the letter once you have given the doc the necessary paperwork (which you will receive once you obtain your eras number) that he needs to attach to his/her letter.

if you took the MCATs or applied through AMCAS you already have your AAMC # and don't need to wait till ERAS registration.

But remember your LoR writers can't send the letter to ECFMG until you have registered with ERAS.
