Hello all
From the time a phil med school accepts u, then the school contacts manila Foreign Affair dep for you to get the student visa, how long till you can get the student visa? Anyone can help me?? Thanks!

I am just afraid that a phil med school accepts me, but I still don't have student visa to go to study in the phil. but I have Northamerican Passport. ........Anyone can advise me what to do? Thanks!

Many schools will work with you while you are working on your visa. Takes a lot of red tape though.

Do u think I will be in trouble if I am on a tourist visa in the phi attending med school while waiting for my student visa? will they throw me in jail? because school starts in couple of weeks....it's not difficult to get tourist visa....how long will student visa take on average?

Airport immigration will give you 6 weeks as a tourist. However, your prospective school should at least help and guide you with the process with Immigration and 6 weeks should be enough to get your student visa.

hello!
You may travel using tourist visa. I think they give you 2months visa initiall from embassy. After joining college then you apply for Conversion from 9A to 9F. You need to submit all the attested documents at immigration during that time.
BTW, which college / uni. are you going to

I am studying at UST. I'll be in 3rd year Med proper this coming school year. My questions are: will I be able to apply for internship in the United States? If I do get an internship in the US, will I be able to take the Philippine board? Thank you very much to those who will take time to reply.
