Hey guys...
I was reading other forums to get a better grasp of the whole FMG thing after an MD in the PI. On a particular post, I read that UST adopted problem-based learning in their curriculum starting around 1999. Is this true?????????

I know its catered more to the PI boards, but I read that UST grads do good on the steps.

What is it like at UERM???? More of memory or problem-based?

its not problem based anymore. I think they call it integrated traditional or sumthing. You'll have lectures and small group dicussions. Memorize memorize memorize... except in physiology.

I spoke to the dean of UERM a few weeks ago and she said its traditional for the first two years of medical school and the remaining 2 is problem based.

Most schools scrapped their PBL system except for CIM. UST is back to their traditional system. UERM is calling their system integrated.

I am studying at UST. I'll be in 3rd year Med proper this coming school year. My questions are: will I be able to apply for internship in the United States? If I do get an internship in the US, will I be able to take the Philippine board? Thank you very much to those who will take time to reply.
