How many are still waiting for a rotation spot for summer 08? For those who recently passed step 1 and have already been assigned a spot, how long did you have to wait? Thank you.

I got my scores back February 16th
I finally abided by all the rules (titers, resume, etc..) by March 15th or so (this took a while)
I heard about my rotation towards the end of March and got my E-RAF April 11th.
Family Practice Chicago.. Very excited about it. Starts May5
Only have 6 weeks then it is up in the air, hopefully I'll get another Core in Chicago.

alb 123, so you finished the semester in december and didn't start clinicals until may?

My core rotations don't start again until July 8th and I finished my Family practice rotation almost 2 weeks ago.

It doesnt matter when you finish the 5th semester. it matters when you take step and get your scores in to the school. I also took 5th semester in the fall. Some people took step in November, some took it in april. For me, I got my scores back Jan 4. I started clincals on Feb. 4. Evidently the school has more "qualified" students nowadays so the wait might get longer. hope this helps

It took me about a month to get a rotation. It had more to do with me not getting the paper work in fast enough, like vaccinations, etc.. However, I see there is definitely more students passing step lately. Which makes the wait longer. Plus if you say you want a specific location. Then naturally there is a wait. If your coordinator sets you up with only one rotation. Try setting up an elective right after. That way your not technically wasting time. Plus I believe there is a thing with financial aid. You must be registered for 10weeks to be eligible for financial aid.
