I now understand after doing my research that pre-med is accred.

Stop kidding and write the truth. Person like yourself mislead students. How and where did you do research about pre med that it is accred? Can you please write about it?

I am confused with all these crooks! I was foolish to recommend this school to some of my known friends as I went to Ross many years ago. when I see those kids in tears, I feel guilty. I have written to ECFMG and will write to Medical Board of Dominica to look into these crooks carefully.

If you do premed in carribean you have next to zero chance of doing residency in U.S. so dont kid yourself go research in U.S for yourself.. im just saying this to ppl out of highschool who are considering medicine Im not here to argue with all the share holders of the school.. So what do you have to say about the many physicians practicing in the US that attended high school, college and medical schools in their respective countries? If you pass the steps you are going to be able to get residencies, it may be harder but not impossible like you make it sound.

zooss im afraid you're wrong and your sweeping statement undermines the credibility of your point (which Ill get to in a moment). And please do not accuse anyone who disagrees with you of ulterior motives. Most people here have a far more lengthy history than you and their views can be taken in the context of the reputation they've established.

However having said that, I agree no one in their right mind should consider going offshore for premed from the US. Go get a college degree and try for a us school. Uunfortunately Zooss' way of making the point undermines an otherwise valid arguement. The truth is if you do this you are cutting off many avenues of opportunity that would otherwise be open to you if you want to a US allopathic medical school

They attended, high school, college and medical school from THEIR respective countries, from University programs that most likely are State sponsored.

They were not U.S. citizens going to OFFSHORE medical schools that are PRIVATE schools (for profit, nothing wrong with that though) which is the whole point of contention here. Try getting any of those pre-med credits transferred into ANY accredited U.S. undergraduate University, or even a Community College for that matter. Chances are very slim of that happening.
