I have read that this year is supposedly going to be very active hurricane wise. What is the school policy on weather/storms and students? Do they provide safe shelter or is that up to the student and wherever they are living. What about evacuation for a category 4 or 5 hurricane? I have to admit I am from an area that doesn't get any really sever weather( no tornados, wild fires, mud slides, hurricanes, etc) si the idea of being in hurricane alley makes me a little nervous!!

Every year they predict it will be the worst in a decade or more. lol

When weather is bad the school will let people camp in one of the lecture halls, I hear. Hasn't happened to us, so I dunno. The campus is supposed to withstand a Cat 5, has its own power and water.

Should be interesting if a hurricane comes? Didn't really enjoy having to pull 24 hr shifts at my hospital when one hit! So, who knows?
