Hi Guys...I'm 41yrs old. I have not had any college courses. My high school GPA is 3.33 Could you please tell me what is St. georges looking for in a candidate? Would I even come close to qualifying? And what would I have to have to be seriously considered? Thanks so much. Sandra
Correct me if I'm wrong but the premed program is for people who have a few deficiencies in science classes. It doesn't make sense to take these science classes at sgu due to high cost. I'm sure you can find a university or a community college where you could take these classes at much lower cost. You could even have a day job and take the classes in the evening. That's what I did. I had never taken calculus which is required/recommended for SGU. I kept my day job and took a couple of math classes. I even got my job to pay for them. All it took is a little extra time. Don't worry about being too old. I know of a university assistant prof who is 38 and is considering medical school. Its worth investigating. If after taking these classes you find out later that you may be too deficient or don't have what it takes then you only lost time. If you do very well you may even go to a US school.
Worth considering...
