Hey guys,
just wondering how much time is needed before arrival at Saba to get financially situated - loans and such - coming from the U.S... When is a good time to start.

Any tips are much appreciated.

You're technically only supposed to apply for loans no more than 90 days before you start school. So you should be applying in January or so 2009.

Hopefully by then, the school actually has loan options. Because right now, we have none. :(

Thanks KingMo,
Actually wondering if u could elaborate, if u have a minute, on what u mean exactly by there being no loan options available at this time...

thanks in advance.

For Saba students anyway...

Saba students used to have 3 loan options:

Sallie Mae: stopped accepting applications about 8 months ago.
Health Xpress: stopped accepting applications about 6 months ago.
TERI: stopped accepting applications about 4 days ago.

Saba students now have 0 loan options. The school is supposedly working on something where the school itself will loan money. Regardless of what the school can come up with, it's a very very bad financial situation for Saba students. We need a real bank to finance our loans, not a shoddy improvision by the school.

Umm... yah. So how exactly r incoming students (American) supposed to pay for school - apart from being Mr. Gates bastard child?
I dont want to even have to really consider SGU, or ROSS or AUC,
I love the look and feel of Saba... :(
-yes the grimy nature of the place.

But I dont have a sugar daddy/mommy...

This is quite disturbing that there is no loan Option right now!!.. I have an interview on tuesday 5/6/08!! I really hope they get this issue straightened out as I really like what I have read about the school so far..So what's the solution for students starting in Sept.?:confused:
