Anybody currently at SE studying for the USMLE? Do you feel prepared? How did the school prepare you? What is your study schedule for it and how many hours? What study methods are you using? Thanks.

I am not studying for usmle but from what i am told, the fifth semester involves a kaplan usmle prep and some clinicals either in illinois or st eustatius, so i guess thats the prep you get, and kaplan has a pretty good prep record.

I came out feeling good after SESOM and kaplan, took PASS and did pretty well

i talked to a couple of the 5th termers this past semester, who did not find Kaplan an appropriate prep for STEP1. one guy who was very proactive says that Kaplans contract runs out after this summer, and that the school is most likely going another way. He wasnt sure what it would be, but that the lady that ran 5th term here was going to find a different prep method.

to me, it seems that a lot of students take Pass or Falcon (which are other prep courses) after they get out of 5th term. if its necessary, then so be it, because you want to do well on step 1. however, it just doesnt seem efficient...

Doctors in training is also pretty good and needs some consideration from the administration you can check them out here USMLE Step 1 (http://www.doctorsintraining.com/USMLE_Step_1.html?gclid=CISUisOIiJMCFQeNHgodLX1EbA )

i believe its the most popular usmle prep book, although some people use it in conjunction with other prep courses such as kaplan other claim its enough as a stand alone prep book together with a q bank.

Well, I realized that the Doctors in Training course uses it, too.
