View Full Version : Xavier Has Vanished: Do You Know Where They Are?

Hey Everyone,

Can someone please tell me where the Xavier administration office has been? I have been calling the U.S office since last Friday to this Friday on a daily basis and no one is answering. I left a message and sent an email and no one respond. The had asked me for some documents a few weeks ago so I was calling to confirm they had received them.

Are you having the same problem? Is this something for us to be concerned about? I understand they may be busy, but it does make me a little uneasy that you can't get a hold of any one in any department for over a week now! Its just a bit strange; are they having problems..is this something that should concern me and my decision to attend?

Any advice or knowledge you may have on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I posted a response to your concern in the "I interviewed 2 weeks ago" thread...Xavier hasn't vanished, I spoke to them JUST NOW, in fact, they called ME.

I've had the same problem in the past with contacting the school and have heard from other students who did too. I found out the best way to contact them is to either call in the morning or late afternoon or email. Leaving a message doesn't always prove to be effective because you don't know how many other people left messages and what the priority of your return call is.

They do check their email often and obviously speaking directly to someone is the best way. You can also speak directly to an admin on the Aruba campus by using the ext 1210 as well. The key here is to be persistent and have patience. Eventhough, this is your first encounter with communication problems it will definitely not be the your last so hang in there.

this is what i meant...when i said this admin is not student friendly, and that they are so HARD to get a hold of.

i think they were on spring break LOL....but in all seriousness...thats not cool at all.

students should be the main concern...communication is key. being left in the dark sucks

You are so right. I finally did get a hold of them; it is unfortunate it took 8 days. I do understand that they have other busy other than answering phones, but the school exist because of the current and potential students...with out us their is no Xavier. If they are going to be out of the office for an entire week they should at least post something on their website under the news feed stating so.

But hey... I guess thats life... u just have to keep pushing and pushing until a door opens..... or perhaps in this case....until someone answers the phone
