i am a testimony to students who are strugglying; my advice is, never give up. i am currently in my 3rd yr med on the edge of been kicked out from my sch, but God never sleep. i am an average student who struggled in the island, barely passing my classes with miracles. i started studying for step 1 last yr april. i did uw 2x, read and listen to all golgian notes and tape. i did the nbme exam and i was scoring high; then, i took the exam; coming out of it, i knew i failed. i got my result in sept, and i failed by 2points (183/74). i picked myself together and started studying again, it was hell!!! i did uw for the 3rd time, and qbank and 1st aid again, i took my test and when i came out, i felt i passed. but when i got my result 2days b/4 xmas, boy o boy, i got 184/74 fail again. i went through depression. i stop picking my phone, always have tears in my eye(grown man crying), it hurt!!!!! all my friends has moved on, it was tough. i had the worst xmas and new year ever. i went thru my denial stage, then, i started accepting it. got my self together, still doulting myself, i stopped doing questions, and just read. i read from jen-march. i took the exam again. it was the hardest. the exams are getting harder these days. when i came out, i just pray and ask God to do whatever is good for me. i have suffered enough, i asked him. then, the waiting period is the hardest, i start appying to other schools, graduate schools, got a job as a pizza driver, start delivery pizza for $1 to $2 tip.working under the rain, sun, cold!!!!! i was broked!!!! from MD sch to pizza driver, you go figure. my friend were calling and wishing me the best.
i got my result this morning, and it said PASSED!!!!! i broked down and cryed, there is a God who never let his children down.
my advice is, never give up. when you are push to the edge, just thank God because he has a plan for you. i wanna to say, thx you all for reading my story. i hope i inspire somebody there. write me if you need advice. God bless you all


you said that you scored high on nbme practice tests and USMLE World q's do you mind sharing exactly what you got the first time around for USMLE World and for whichever nbme test you took (if you could say the nbme # and your score that would be very helpful) Because I too am kind of concerned about not passing/doing well.
