Can someone please rate for me the different specialities in order of how competative they are (i.e. Cartiology being the most competative, family medicine being the least.) I am curious to see where Emergency Medicine falls on the list...
Thanks!

"Cartiology" - the medical science of pushing a cart around the hospital?
I would think that one could secure that with a solid 75-100 score easy.

"Cartiology"....my friend it is Cardiology...
but you can easily match in cartiology just go to your local quickie mart and push some carts around....you do not even need to take step 1, 2, or 3

These are stats for US grads... it's getting tougher and tougher each time for IMG. even for Family.. some places in NY are getting applicants with 95+ for their residency!!! (both Step 1 and 2) EM is very competitive..

Its harder than you think. You would faLL in that subject if you forget to take steps1.2.3.. and just push the cart

Cardiology is an IM fellowship, not a residency!

Well......the subtitle reads "US seniors and independant applicants" so maybe Carib stats are included.
