does anyone know if XUSOM requires tuition/deposit b4 starting 1st semester ? If they do pls how much is it?

Before the new tuition rates went into effect there was a $1000 seat deposit fee after acceptance which would count towards 1st semester tuition. Under the new tuition rates it seems they lowered that fee to $700. If you need further help on this contact Mr. G in the financial aid office the number is on the website under Xavier offices. how much federal aid do you guys at xavier recieve?

Xavier is not qualified for federal aid. I believe the only Caribbean schools that do are SGU, Ross, and AUC. Xavier has TERI loans which allow you to borrow up to $25,000 on your own signatures. If you have a co-borrower then you can get up to $65,000.

As some may know TERI recently filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy, but are still accepting and approving loans. Chapter 11 is just for restructuring and shouldn't have any effects on student loans. This is a direct quote from the TERI president and CEO, Willis J. Hulings III, "Chapter 11 will provide us with the time and opportunity to determine how best to provide our programs and services for the long term in this challenging economy. We will be working with our partners and lenders to minimize disruptions to student loan borrowers.”
