i will be applying to ross in oct08 for may09 term. does anyone know, is that too late to apply for may09. because i am really interested in may09 term. also what is the min gpa and mcat ross accepted recently in fall 2008 term or may 2008 term. did accepted students had volunteer experience. please i would really appreciate, if anyone can provide me with a feedback.

Oct is not too late for May....there are still people interviewing for entrance into the May '08 class.

Ross has a very wide range of GPAs and a 20 on the MCAT is the minimum. If you're below that but have an otherwise convincing application they might recommend you for their medical education review program.

I was accepted for Fall '08 with a 3.4 GPA, 24R MCAT, 7 years research experience and limited clinical/volunteer exposure. My financial situation requires me to work a lot to pay my own way so volunteering really isn't an option...I made that clear to the adcom.

Before applying I went to an information seminar and MCAT scores was the big topic of the afternoon. I believe the administrator leading the seminar said that the lowest MCAT score they accepted was 11. Yes, I said 11! But he said that the girl was exceptional and then he continued to say that's why the school doesn't mention a minimum score because they like to look at the person as a whole. So make your case for yourself as to why they would be missing out by not accepting you and why you would make an unbelievably fantastic doctor. Trust me they will listen! They listened to me and I'm heading to the island at the end of the month!
