Hello everyone.

I recieved a letter for an interview last week and was wondering if anyone had interviewed in the Boston area. Also, the letter stated that the interview coordinator would schedule an appointment for me...am I supposed to call to set it up or will she contact me?

Many thanks,

you should clarify with school who calls who; it really varies per interviewer etc.

I had my interview in Jan At the time the only interviewer that could accomodate my schedule was in CT, so I drove down from Boston for the day.

CT would be fine. I have a few relatives there I could spend the night with to make it less hectic.

Thank you both!

The letter did not tell me who would be doing the interview, just that the interview coordinator would call me to set up an appointment (then it gave her number). Should I give it a week and then call? Since she gave me her number I am unsure if she wanted me to call.

I would call. She's really nice and I'm sure she wouldn't mind clarifying the issue; plus it would give you some peace of mind.

I have an interview this week in Hartford and my interviewer is Dr. Ouyang. I don't know if he does all the New England interviews or not.

Best of Luck on your interview :)

Dr. Ouyand doesn't handle all of new england. Dr. Sandra Wainwright (Norwalk, CT) was my interviewer.

She's cheif resident of IM at Norwalk hospital. Granted, I only know her as an med school candidate, so that's not saying much. She was quite personable and happy to answer all of my questions, both about the school and how to balance work/school and a personal life. My husband came to the interview with me and she invited him in and let him ask questions and shared a few antecdotes with us. She and her husband both seem to be doing very well career wise. From what I know of her she's a sucessful physician who's managing to do the mom-thing and still maintain her sanity, all while looking well rested. She's got it together!

She makes a very good impression as far as SGU goes. She did a lot to alleviate any fears I had about making the IMG choice.
