Hey,
I was just wondering whether anyone got accepted into Sackler yet for Class of 2012 and when you were interviewed. I was interviewed and was told that I'd hear back sometime in March, still no answer...so I wanted to know if anyone else had heard anything from them.

Hey guys,
So, I was recently accepted to both Sackler and Technion (I JUST heard from Sackler, though, so don't worry if they haven't gotten back to you yet! It was definitely later than I had been told to expect). Did any of you apply to both of these programs? Any thoughts on which is stronger?

My $0.02- Sackler has been in the game longer and has more alumni crawling around the states, mainly Northeast.
Take into account that I am a Sackler though and as such am biased.
Good luck and enjoy the fact that you have the luxury of making such a decision

I'm also a Sackler student. I can only comment on the positives and negatvies of Sackler and echo the previous poster. Sackler has been around the longest and has the most well known reputation in the US. One day, I would hope that Technion is just as well-known, but it takes time to build an alumni base and reputation. Sackler alum sit on the boards of residency programs and are sometimes the chair (i.e. LIJ Pediatrics).
The only thing I can say is that I have two friends at Technion. Unfortunately, neither were accepted to Sackler. During their first year at Technion they each tried to transfer to Sackler. Both were unable to transfer and they are still learning at Technion. You will never see a Sackler student try to transfer to Technion. What does this tell you? Maybe nothing.

Was there a particular reason why your friends wanted to transfer to Sackler? What they don't like about Technion?
