re: any reliable rental car companies???

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone who has had a good experience could tell me a reliable rental car company to get a car from. I am coming in May and would need a car for sure. Any help would be great!!!

Whatever you do don't go with a guy by the name of Rodger. He has taken advantage of a few students including myself. He usually gives you a good deal, but there is always something wrong with the car, and after your first semester of having the car, he'll say he's taking it to the repair shop, but never brings it back. As a matter of fact, he just rents it out to another person and gives you the run around that the car is in the shop. He is also known to ask for more money by saying that its for the repair. So heads up. . .

I've here that both EuropCar and Hertz Rental car on the airport road are good HOWEVER, I've never rented from them. Also there are people who do leasing here on the island. It would not hurt to put out an ad saying that you are willing to lease or what your price range is.

All in all there are quite a few car rent businesses and companies in Antigua and I don't think you'll have a very hard time locating any that are of good report.

car rental companies are very expensive.
if you've got the loot.. then by all means..
cause the companies aren't going to screw you.
but i asked around today at a couple of them..
and they were generally $800US+ / month.
i've heard to get in contact with some locals that rent out monthly
the general price i've heard is $400US / month.
but like a previous poster said.. gotta watch out.
