Hi
I'm just curious are most of the St George clinicals on the East Coast? Do you have any in the Midwest (MI, IL, OH, CO)
Thanks!

i see, thanks for the reply....also just wondering do you think there's a possibility that they might have more clinicals open up in that area in next couple of years?

probably not.. it looks like SGU has focused on the east coast particularly in NYC. However, the school admins do say that they're always willing to sign new contract with other hospitals, but that doesn't mean they will actively seek those contracts. So if you want to set something up with a hospital in your area and that hospital is willing to sign a contract with SGU you should call up the school and it might happen. Otherwise if you're going to attend sgu plan on doing your rotations in either NJ or NYC mostly NYC, since there are a lot more hospitals that will open up for us to rotate in, in the very near future. Like Rok said if you want IL go to Ross, simple as that.

Just remember that if you were to go to a US school you wouldn't even have a choice where you did your rotations and would have to do them at the hospital affiliated with that school.

Here's SGU's list of clinical affiliations Affiliated Hospitals - School of Medicine - St. George’s University (http://www.sgu.edu/website/sguwebsite.nsf/som/affiliated-hospitals.html)

Well there's one place in Michigan that's affiliated with the school however they only take like 15 students and there are many that want to go there because they live in the area or are from canada or whatever, so that hospital usually fills up on a first come first serve basis meaning if you're one of the first 15 to get in your passing step1 score and all your other health forms you'll get the spot, if not you won't. but that shouldn't bother you yet since you have a long way to go.
