IT HAS BEEN ROUGHLY 5 YEARS NOW AND XAVIER HAS ACCOMPLISHED A LOT, SUCH AS ICGME, WHO, AND IMED LISTING ALONG WITH A SPECTACULAR 5TH SEMESTER PROGRAM AND CLINICAL ROTATION OPTIONS, HOWEVER WHAT IS THE STATUS OF THE UNIVERSITY'S ATTEMPTS TO GET ENDORSED/LICENSED IN THE STATES OF NEW YORK OR FLORIDA (OR ANY OTHER STATE FOR THAT MATTER THAT REQUIRES ENDORSEMENT)?

WE ALL KNOW THE PROCESS IS A LENGTHY, COMPLICATED, HIGHLY POLITICAL, AND COSTLY PROCEDURE.....BUT AFTER 5 YEARS OF POSITIVE GROWTH WHERE DOES THE UNIVERSITY STAND ON THIS ISSUE?

I HAVE CONTACTED XAVIER BY PHONE AND JUST HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO GET A STRAIGHT ANSWER, WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN TOLD?

I KNOW THE SCHOOL HAS THE POTENTIAL TO ACQUIRE SUCH ENDORSEMENT EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE ONLY BEEN OPEN FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME....CONSIDER THIS... AMERICAN UNIVERSITY OF ANTIGUA AND MEDICAL UNIVERSITY OF AMERICA HAS ACQUIRED LICENSING FOR THEIR STUDENTS IN NEW YORK AND THEY HAVE ONLY BEEN OPEN FOR ROUGHLY 5 YEARS +. SO WHATS THE HOLD UP WITH XAVIER? AND IF THEY ARE IN THE PROCESS OF APPLYING, CAN SOMEONE STATE THE EXACT POSITION THEY ARE AT: JUST APPLIED, BEING REVIEWED, DENIED, NOT EVEN CONSIDERING IT AT THE MOMENT.....

BEFORE SOMEONE MISINTERPRETS THIS POST AS BASHING THE SCHOOL LET ME CLEARLY STATE: THIS IS NOT AN ATTEMPT TO DISMISS THE MANY ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY AND IT'S STUDENTS... AS I HAVE MENTIONED ABOVE I BELIEVE THE SCHOOL HAS MADE MANY POSITIVE STEPS TOWARDS BECOMING ONE OF THE LEADING INSTITUTIONS OF MEDICINE IN THE CARIBBEAN AND IN THE MEDICAL ACADEMIC COMMUNITY GLOBALLY. I, ALONG WITH MANY OTHERS, SIMPLY WANT TO KNOW IF ANY PROGRESS IS BEING MADE? AT THE END OF THE DAY THE GOAL OF THE UNIVERSITY, IT'S STUDENTS, AND POTENTIAL STUDENTS IS TO BE IN A CONTINUOUS STATE OF IMPROVEMENT... AT LEAST THIS SHOULD BE GOAL...ANY LESS SHOULD HAVE EVERYONE REEVALUATING THE SITUATION.

THANK YOU FOR ANY COMMENTS YOU MAY HAVE.

Maybe The Admissions Office Can Give A Direct Answer To That Mentioned Above.

I Have Noticed Though That Many Individuals Take Part In Questioning And/or Answering Questions Regarding The School, Its Progress, Etc.... Perhaps Like Many Most Just Don't Have The Answers, Preoccupied With School Work, Or Simply Just Don't Have The Time.

However If You Have The Time Please Respond To Some Of The Questions Posted, Not Just By Me But By Everyone. Valuemd Has Served As A Great Channel Of Information For Students Looking To Make The Leap Into Not Just Medical School, But A Foreign Medical School. In Fact Many Of You Attending School In The Caribbean Has Used This Website To Help Finalize Your Decisions.

Any Help You Can Give Would Be Highly Appreciated By The Masses.

Did u know that AUA's tuition is double that of Xaviers? So they got the easy NY accredition done.
Did u know Saba supplies funding for MUA? So they got the easy NY accredition done.

Its all economics. If Xav were to increase tuition, they can get NY, but would you go there at 10000 a pop?

Its clear your not being critical about the post. I fully understand the financial aspect of things, however it was the university who said they were working towards this so it is only right that one would be curious about the current position of the university on this matter.

Feel free to pacify the situation but for those who are interest in seeing Xavier's educational program excel ....seeking endorsement is the only next logical step.

It is the refusal of individuals to ask questions and demand change that brings progression to the pace of a turtle.

If you clearly read my post it was not bashing the university but instead trying to find answers that are otherwise unobtainable from the university's website and even from some of the staff when you call in.

Instead of being sarcastic... why not provide answers to the questions?

Thank You
