That's the difficult part. Foreigners are not allowed to practice or get a permanent license there unless you get naturalized. Foreigners are allowed to do post-graduate training like residency as there are lots of Indonesians and Indians are doing.

If you are talking about post-grad medical education like residency, most residencies have salaries but it's so small that I will call it allowance.

you cannot take the local philippine physician licensure exam unless u are a Filipino citizen. and with regards to practicing in the philippines, it depends on your country of citizenship. if your home country allows Filipino doctors to practice there then you may practice here...this is called reciprocity..as with residency training programs, ive heard that indonesians do their residency in UERM-MMC, so there probably is a way for foreigners to do their residency here...maybe u could ask your gf to find out...is she a physician too? and are u an Indian by any chance? ur name sounds Indian.

no no...u need to be a FILIPINO CITIZEN to take the licensure exam...foreigners CANNOT be licensed physicians in the Philippines...u may practice by reciprocity if your home country allows filipinos to practice there and if the licensing conditions are the same...whats your nationality??

im an indian too..its been ages but i didnt change my citizenship to filipino YET! hahha as far as i know you cant...u can only work here as a doctor if you hold a Filipino passport...how to get a Filipino passport?
1. find someway to be a permanent resident in the Philippines...after that reside in the Philippines for 10 years...then only can u be ELIGIBLE to apply...after u apply its gonna take 2-3 years
or...
marry your girlfriend (if shes a filipino citizen), or a foreigner who holds a permanent residency card (I card) and that will instantly get u permanent residency here but u have to wait 5 years to be eligible to apply for citizenship...which ofcourse will take 2-3 years to process
so if i were you...forget practicing in the Philippines...unless u dont mind waiting a decade more :D hope that helps...someone correct me if im wrong...although i know im nt :P
