I have a question which I have not been able to find answer. If one finishes medical school, gets ECFMG certified but in the middle of residency there medical school closes. do licensing boards take into account the fact that the school was open and accredited at the time you got ECFMG certified or will they deny you license even though you finished residency?

Your medical school's still being open has no bearing on licensing if you have an MD degree and the school was recognized at the time you graduated. There are many examples of this today. Relax.

you avoid this by registering with FCVS (federal credentials verification service), and this US office will hold all your transcripts and important documents forever (so even if you school closed down in 20 years, your documents are still legitimate).
