I am renting an apt. located across the street from the airport, I was told a 20-30 minute walk or a 5 minute drive from school. It is an upper apartment, The total amount it would cost is $600 monthly including utilities. I will be arriving to the island April 27th and will have the apt from then on, if you are bringing a family member to stay with you for the first couple of days that is also fine with me for them to stay there with us. I am 25 years old white female and will be starting pre-med:welcome::-angel:-star, quiet and prefer a non-smoking female. I like plants and animals (although I won't be bringing any). PM me if interested and I do accept Pay pal for the May rent.

I am getting messages from people that the walk may take 40 minutes, I plan on bringing my mountain bike, would I be able to make the bike ride to school and at a rather slow speed (I have not been on a bike in 10 years) is it possible to bike it and how long would it take. Thank you everyone for your help. Also could I take the bus to school every day?

I live across the airport, and I've seen people bike past my house to go to school, so it's definitely doable. I usually take the bus, and do it by walking along the road towards the school until a bus (or a fellow student) picks me up. It's worked out pretty well, except that it's not easy to get a ride to go out to places at night. Sunshine Shoppers is near by, so there's a small selection of groceries and a mini-food stand. There's also a restaurant on the second floor of the airport that's open til around 5 every day; that's pretty nice too.

It took me about 25 min to bike to school from the airport for the 1st time. It takes me about 15-20 min now, depends on how fast I am going. The ride back home is 10 min, since it's mostly down the hill on the way back from school. A walk to school is about 40-45 min.
Besides, as far as I know there is a school bus running to MUA past the airport in the mornings around 7am.
Airport area is a nice/convenient location.
Good luck!
