PMDC vs. IMED-ECFMG

Hi All,

I am a 2nd year Medical Student @

University College of Medicine & Dentistry, Lahore.
www.uol.edu.pk (http://www.uol.edu.pk)

This school is approved and listed on the "Pakistan Medical & Dental Council", but it is not listed on the "International Medical Education Directory (IMED) - ECFMG" website.

I need to take the USMLE exam, so what should I do? Any help would be appreciated.

It's up to the school to register with IMED and provide necessary documentation(charter)/approvals/accreditation...etc. The medical school school doesn't look like it has been in existence very long at least judging by the spelling on their website ("The teaching of Medicine and Dentistry has to accomodate the rapid evoluion in sicnece...")

Option 1 wait for IMED listing.

Option 2 transfer to another school.

hi . i know the colege is not of googd repute in pk so how u think this is in imed list . and the collge is very new just 5 yers old . and i think no one can even get mbbs degree from this college. i think 2 option is best migrate to other college but in pk it is not so possible so u have to talk to ur college dean of principle that u want to give usmle test ok byeeeee . best of luck 4 ur future and usmle
