Hey apparently we have to take some exam adminstered at H&R block at the end of a rotation and I just registered for mine. Im just really curious as to what I should be studying for this test. Obviously what I learn on rotation is important but we all know the educational experience varies across the board concerning individual rotations. Im not asking for test questions, just wondering what exactly I should know....psychiatry seems to have a lot of the basic science knowledge easily found in kaplan or a review book so I was thinking of reading those before the test but if anyone who has taken the saba psych test @ H&R block can let me know what would be a good resource to utilize, it would be greatly appreciated.

I just took the psych test a couple of weeks ago. I would say that the Kaplan step 2 book is more than enough. There isn't any epidemiology/ethics...I would know the psych drugs pretty well and be familiar with the mood disorders, types of therapy, etc. I used blueprints for psychiatry to study because it was a lot more concise than kaplan and i was definitely looking for the shorter book...I felt that pretty much everything was covered in that.
Outta curiosity ....does anyone know when these exams are going to start to count?

No, but I hope they take their time with that. I took the Peds one and did not feel that I did well on it. I hope not to have to take it for surg, heard that one is even worse!!!!
