American University of Antigua proudly announces that as part of its continuing effort to expand educational opportunities in the Health Care field and to help alleviate the global nursing shortage it will be opening a School of Nursing. The AUA School of Nursing has entered into an affiliation with the City University of New York (CUNY) Lehman Division of Adult and Continuing Education.
CUNY Lehman will offer the Nursing graduates from AUA a one year program, RN to B.S. in Nursing once they have completed 90 transferable credits (from an accredited college or university and must be the equivalent of “C” or better grade) in classes including: General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology and who have completed their RN training at AUA, and who qualify as a result of passing the NCLEX.
This affiliation provides Graduates of the AUA RN Associate’s Degree program eligibility to participate in a one year CUNY Lehman RN to B.S. program. Upon successful completion of the program, students will graduate from CUNY Lehman College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.
Dr. L. M., AUA Vice President for University Development will be leading AUA’s move into nursing education and will be developing other healthcare related programs as we continue to become a leader in educating healthcare professionals.
