hello all. i've been accepted to the aug class and as i look around the threads on vmd trying to get to know the school better, i see a lingering complaint about clinicals. this concerned me and as i try to justify my decision to go to a carib school, and looking for resons why this is so, here is my interpritation of the clinical complaints. as i see it, ross was bought by devry a few years back, and it appears the clinical situation appeared about that time. i know first hand that when a small company is bought by a bigger corp that there are a few years of transition when everything seems to go wrong (very frustrating). it doesn't mean that either side is bad, but there is a natural feeling out process and certain important aspects of the bought business (ross) gets neglected. i think devry and ross really do care about the medical school, but sounds like a lot unfortunate students got cought up in the transition. from the ross website news section they seem to be addressing clinical concerns by adding more sites. i also feel that in the near future the clinical concerns won't be as frustrating as they appear now. i may be totally wrong here to, but i try to take a step back from all the yelling and screaming :) and look at problems subjectively. ok now it's your turn to rip me a new fecal opening.
