Hi everyone,
I will be starting with the May 2008 class, and have inversted in a tablet PC in preparation for my classes. I was hoping I could ge some feedback from current students who use a tablet to take notes. Any advice on what software you use, what methods you find most effective, etc, would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Rob

I am in Post Bacc right now, but use a tablet PC and absolutely love it. I also use one note, it integrates wonderfully with the tablet features.

By print, do you actually mean print or do you mean copy paste the lecture onto OneNote and then make changes?
Thanks

print to onenote. like printing a .doc to make a .pdf out of it
Yea, you will see it once you have 1note....It prints it into the virtual notebook (no paper). This program is so cool! You can take a picture/screenclip of something that has text in it, and you can do a search and it will find text in the picture. Useful when taking clips of diagrams etc. It will even search audio recordings for specific words. The only drawback with the audio is that it has to be recorded with a mic no more than 6in. away from speaker.

Thanks for the responses everyone. I use onenote now, but haveb't really used to print to one note function. Do you recommend just opening the prof's powerpoint and printing that to onenote, then taking notes directly onto the slide during class?
Right now I keep 4 subnotebooks within one note, and then make a page for each day of class, and then tab these according to what exam they correspond with (exam 1 material, exam 2 material, etc). I handwrite all of my notes and have found that while it is helpful, my writing is even more illegable on a tablet... perhaps it's the size margins and ink I am using?
