i've recently have been accepted to ross and i hear a lot of talk about ross having an accelerated md program. i think i know the answer to my own question, but is it acclerated due to just not taking the "normal" breaks schools have? thanx!

Yup. that's your answer
I believe most Caribbean medical schools are accelerated programs; as I understand it this means 2 things.
1) each term is shorter giving you a longer break between terms (most likely to give you time to go home visit family, etc.)
2) there are no summer breaks, you go to school all year around

SGU has summer breaks and 2 rather than 3 intakes per year as a result.
