I just got my postcard saying my app has been received, I also got a schedule of the open houses. I was just wondering what kind of info is passed on and whether its worth driving 3 hoours to Chicago to attend. If anyone has been let me know if I should go and drag my roommate with me too, she hates it when I make her go with me to these types of things.

Basically you will meet Dean Margaret Lambert (of enrollment planning) and Dr. Robert Jordan, Dean of Admissions (or something similar... sorry Bob, can't remember your exact title except as the head of anatomical sciences 8) .

Anyways, there will be a power point presentation of the School of Medicine and School of Vet. Medicine. You will see lots of pictures of what the campus looks like currently. There will probably be some graduates attending the open house, and you will be able to ask questions one-on-one during/after the open house.

P The nice thing about the open house is that its reassuring. If you dont feel the need for that its really up to you. But most find it nice to go and meet people and get some straight talk etc.

The other thing is there are several 3rd and 4th year students that are there to answer all your questions. I have volunteered for the open house in NY last year and I will again for this year. Unfortunately I cant travel to the other ones even though I would like to.
They can talk about clinicals as well as grenada.
