I am a transfer student. I am going to finish 5th semester in Miami. Once I am done with this semester and register to take step 1:
Do I have to wait to start clinicals?
When can the clinical process begin?
Also, God forbid, I do not pass, will I still be able to continue clinicals?
In my previous school, and several other schools including European med schools. Students are allowed to do clinical rotations as long as have attempted at least once or are in the process of attempting. In fact they are able to complete all their rotations. After speaking to them, they say that being in clinicals helped them study well for step 1 and pass. What is the protocol for AUA?
How many attempts at step 1 are allowed by AUA?
I am asking a series of questions because everyone seems to have different answers. I am so confused.
I may not have phrased my questions correctly. Please if you need clarification let me know.
