So I am scheduled for Family Practice at Caritas and can choose either St. John's or Mary Immaculate.
I was wondering if someone could shed some light on the rotation, and what the differences are between the two hospitals-- in terms of hours, attendance, work load, teaching?

Family Practice is a 6 week rotation :1 week of inpatient at MIH and the rest at an outpatient clinic. On the first or second day of the rotation you will choose from a list of available clinics throughout the Queens area. The workload and hours depends on the clinic you go to. The one week of inpatient service (in my opinion) was a waste of time...lots of scutwork. I learned more from the 5 weeks of outpatient clinic.

I did this rotation last Feb - March 2007, and I agree with the above for outpatient.
