Where do you guys live?

So where does everyone live on the island? I would be renting an apt or a house. What are avg price houses per month? What are the "better" villages to live in?

Apartments in Saba are around $500 per month. This does not typically include electricity, which is around $40-50 per month for a one bedroom apartment (if you don't run your air conditioning.) Other things to consider are laundry facilities. If they don't come with the apartment, a full basket of laundry, washed and dried at the dorms, costs around $12.

I am currently living in an apartment in Hell's Gate. It's nice, quiet, and cooler than other parts of the island (also no problems with mold.) The downside is that it is far away from the school. I'm not planning on getting a car, and so far, it's been a pain to take the bus. Rides to school are fine, getting home can be an unpredictable hassle.

You can email Laura Hassel for a copy of the housing list. Call the Gardner office for her email address. I can't seem to find it..... She will keep sending you updated lists, so that's the best way to go.
