hey...as of now im almost through with my first year at SLU med school and mostly i have to say that im pleasantly surprised about the curriculum and level of difficulty. we started out with 82 1st yr students but are now down to 78. a lot more will probably be screened out after this year and wont make it to 2nd yr. maybe about 15-20 more of my classmates. theres PBL in anatomy, physiology, and biochem. i have to admit if you dont study well here youll probably get horrible grades...hehe.

i have only bad things to say about fatima, believe me because i have friends that go there. you have to be here to hear what people are saying about fatima...especially in the medical school industry. fatima is known for being super easy. meaning to say whatever instructors give on their lectures will show up sorta verbatim on quizzes and exams. the school relies too much on memorization and does not require you to use any analytical thinking at all. fatima will NOT prepare you for the USMLE. youd be better off going to SLU. if you wana find out more just e-mail me

you have to be at the top of your class to get into the US clerkship programs

Thank you for your feedback. I am really upt to going to SLU but the core clerkship program of Fatima seem to be attractive to me. If I may ask you the following please:
a. did you have to pay donation?
b. how much is your tuition fee?
c. do you have Saturday classes?
d. are you planning to do your clerkship here?
More feedback from you will help me a lot.

Is Dr. R. Abiog still teaching there?.

Core clerkship at Fatima will cost you 9G-20G/yr tution plus additional fees (think 5500 dollars/3months) that is way way too much. U should make sure u want to pay this much for any med schools in PI where most everyone will charge you less than 4G/year. If you want to spend the money, then more power to you :)).

I agree with hunter - the tuition is not worth it. Clerkships are important but not to that degree. YOu'll still be an IMG in the end, with all the stigma attached to it. Clerkships help, but so does a great score on the USMLE. Choosing a school thats conducive to your scoring high on boards is more important than rotating in the US.
