When does the admission to MD English Program starts ? when can I start applying for 2008-2009 intake ? anyone please help..

Russian graduate programs start in September. In some universities first year of study in English medium may start in October-November. The same is true for Foundation (preparatory) courses offering study of Russian language and core subjects.
Prospective students of Russian medium program first need to apply for the Foundation courses (8-9 month program). Those applicants who prefer to study in English (and have reuired qualification) may enter MD program directly. Applicants with low grades in core subjects (Bio, Chem, Math and/or Phys) may be requested to undertake the Foundation courses too.
Admission usually requires 2 months but depends on how fast is your prospective university is in dealing with your documents. As a rule 1 month is devoted for issuing an invitation letter: a document needed for visa application. The letter is to be issued by the states, so, the term is fixed. The second month is for application consideration, issuing admission letter, etc. Please, be aware that any Russian embassy will require the original invitation letter. That is why you need to book at least a week for getting the document with a courier mail (and some time is required to make prepayment of the service).
In general, the admission is to be open in April – May and lasts till the end of July or August (if any sits available at this time). However, the invitation process may be started in June only. Thus the invitation letter is to be ready at the end of July or later.
